MARIN ALPINE TRAIL E2 (E-MTB)
Marin’s electric assist mountain bikes are for riders who need a boost, either to cover more distance in a shorter amount of time or to go farther or higher than you may accomplish on their own. These bikes are for the Whistler single-track and not for use in the Whistler Bike Park.
- Mount Sproatt and Rainbow Mountain alpine trails (anything above Flank: Lord of the Squirrels, Into the Mystic, With a Twist, On the Rocks, Happy Hour, Pot of Gold, LESS & Don’t Look Back). This restriction supports environmental considerations, user safety and grizzly bear management in the alpine terrain.
- Emerald Forest Conservation Area, except for the access road connecting Lorimer & Alta Lake roads.

Damage Waiver – $25
The Damage Waiver covers any accidental damage incurred to the bike while riding. The damage waiver is optional but is pre-selected for Enduro Trail Bike rentals. IT’S STRONGLY RECOMMENDED YOU TAKE THE DAMAGE WAIVER. If you do not take the Damage Waiver, you will be liable for the full cost of repair to bring the bike back to full functionality. The Damage Waiver does not cover loss, theft or damage incurred through negligence

E-MTB
No, our E-MTB’s are only for use on the single-track trails around the Whistler valley. Although Whistler Bike Park allows e-bikes in the park, we do not permit our rental E-MTB’s in the bike park due to the increased wear and risk of damage to the bikes.
Our E-MTB’s come with a fully charged 504 Wh battery. Battery life depends on what level of assistance you are riding in (ie. Eco, Trail, or Boost) and how much elevation gain/loss you are riding, among other factors. However, you should typically be able to do a day of moderate mountain biking without running out of battery. If you are renting for multiple days, we are able to lend you a battery charger so you can charge your bikes overnight at your accommodation.
We offer flat (Deity Black Kat) or SPD pedals, or you are welcome to bring your own.
Please refer to the size chart that is listed on the information page for each bike. If you are an inexperienced rider between sizes, you may want to choose the smaller size option, as it will be easier to handle and maneuver on the trails.
E-MTB are allowed on most mountain bike trails in Whistler. However, Mount Sproatt and Rainbow Mountain alpine trails (anything above Flank: Lord of the Squirrels, Into the Mystic, With a Twist, On the Rocks, Happy Hour, Pot of Gold, LESS & Don’t Look Back), are two examples where e-bikes aren’t allowed. This restriction supports environmental considerations, user safety and grizzly bear management in the alpine terrain. E-bikes are also not allowed in the Emerald Forest Conservation Area. Although Whistler Bike Park allows e-bikes in the park, we do not permit our rental E-MTB’s in the bike park due to the increased wear and risk of damage to the bikes.
